At Flexituff, we
recognize the critical and exacting demands of food grade packaging,
which requires strict compliance with AIB and BRC/IoP norms. The
plant has been designed and constructed to conform to these.
Appropriate controls are in place to ensure suitability of packaging
for food contact applications.
HACCP:
A formal hazard and risk management system has been adopted
ensuring that all hazards to product safety and integrity are
identified, evaluated and controlled. All processes, right from the
receipt of raw material to despatch of finished goods are critically
examined to identify and implement the requisite measures.
FOREIGN BODY/DUST CONTROL:
Provisions of double doors, air curtains and ventilation
eliminate risk of contamination. Positive pressure of filtered air
(5 micron) is maintained throughout the plant. Provisions of
changing rooms, hand and feet wash, factory wear and protective kits
help in reducing the risk of dust, dirt and foreign matter sneaking
into the production area. |
PEST CONTROL:
Formalized preventive pest control system is equipped to prevent
actual or potential infestation and resulting contamination from
rodents, flying and crawling insects, birds and other pests.
PERSONAL HYGIENE:
The entry to production/processing area is led through a designated
gateway equipped with changing rooms and a mandatory hand & feet
wash system. No worker suspected of any communicable disease is
permitted entry into the plant. Access to finishing area is
permitted through a change room only after one has changed into an
apron, process area footwear, surgical face and hair net. Eating,
spitting, nose cleaning and the use of tobacco in any form is
prohibited within the plant and regularly monitored with CCTV
cameras.
All jewellery, watches, nail varnish/false nails or other personal
belongings which have the potential to gain access into the system
are removed and kept in the individual lockers. At the beginning of
each shift, workers are checked for personal hygiene and visible
health status. |
